What you'll need:

  • Nothing but the great outdoors, i.e. just a place to go outside such as your local park!
What to do:

  1. Go for a walk outside with your child and pause every so often to tune into your surroundings.

  2. Ask your child - "what can you hear? Are there birds tweeting? Dogs barking? Footsteps? The wind in the trees?" Make a note of everything you hear.

  3. Return home and encourage your child to draw a picture or write a story based on what they heard.
