Ocean in a jar - waves of colours

What you'll need:
- A large clear jar or bottle, with a lid that can be tightly shut
- blue food colouring
- Water
- Cooking oil
- Funnel
- Duct tape and glitter (optional)
What to do:
- Fill the plastic bottle or jar one-third full with water.
- Add a couple of drops of food colouring to the water.
- Using the funnel, fill the remainder of the jar with oil, leaving a bit of space at the top.
- Add glitter if you want.
- Screw the lid or cap on tightly and secure with tape if desired.
- Turn and shake the bottle and watch what happens!
