Make shadow stories with these DIY light projectors

Skills and benefits:

What you'll need:

  • Cardboard rolls
  • Plastic wrap
  • Rubber bands
  • Stickers
  • Small torch for projecting

What to do:

  1. Wrap one end of the cardboard rolls with clear plastic and secure with a rubber band.
  2. Place a sticker in the centre of the wrapped end of the roll.
  3. Turn out the lights and shine the torch through the cardboard roll to project the sticker silhouette on the wall.
  4. Encourage a story to unfold by animating the projections and asking your child what the characters are doings.
