Healthy chia pudding
Here's a delish and easy-to-prepare dessert recipe from our resident cook at one of our SDN centres
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk (or your favourite dairy-free. alternative)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 x Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 x tsp. vanilla essence
- 3 x Tbsp. chia seeds (white, black or a mixture)
- 1 x Tbsp. maple syrup/honey or 2 dates (optional if you would like a little sweeter)
Method
Blender/ food processor method:
- Add all ingredients into a blender or food processor.
- Blend until a smooth consistency.
- Portion the mix into serving containers of your size and choosing (I prefer small glass jars).
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight.
- Serve!
By hand method:
- Mash the banana with a fork while slowly adding milk until mostly smooth.
- Add remaining ingredients (if using dates chop into small pieces).
- Portion the mix into serving containers of your size and choosing (I prefer small glass jars).
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight.
- Serve!
